PSSR: 2+2=3

The Spring Regatta was our first big day out with one-design J/109s. Dave, Neil, Michelle, Teo, Alicia, Greg, and Jen made a respectable showing with two 2nd-place finishes in a total of two races (not exactly a windy regatta). Tantivy and Shada both pulled off a 1st- and 3rd-place finish and beat us in the 3-way tie-breaker for 1st. Close racing. Fun racing!

But we definitely won the party by hosting a post-race gathering at The Illusionist on Saturday. We had great turnout from the J/109 fleet, the J/30 fleet, and a smattering of representatives of other fleets we have played with over the years. The name Surfer Girl was retired and in her place, in a puff of smoke (or perhaps a haze of champagne), appeared The Illusionist.
